Capital Punishment: An Agenda for Abolition

Feb 10, 2013 | Pratirodh Bureau

This is the audio of Second Advocate Shahid Azmi Memorial Lecture, delivered by Senior Lawyer at Mumbai High Court, Adv. Yug Mohit Chaudhary, on 9th February 2013, at the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi.

The lecture is being organized in the memory of Shahid Azmi, a 32 year old Mumbai based young lawyer, who was shot dead by some ‘unidentified’ persons at his office on 11th February 2010.
Shahid was not just another advocate who practiced law to earn his livelihood. He was a fearless crusader for justice; he was in love with the idea of justice, as one of his friends describes him.
He was fighting many terror related cases, including for those falsely accused in the Malegaon blasts and 26/11 Mumbai Terror attack.
Please play the audio player to listen the audio. thanks
