Covid-19 In Noida: Sec 144 Imposed, No Mass Gathering

As of Friday, authorities had confirmed 691 positive cases among 26,798 people tested, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research

A family in Noida Extension’s Gaur City area was on Wednesday put under isolation on suspicion of being infected with novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

According to the health department officials, the team of doctors arrived at the Gaur City 1, 1st Avenue society and collected the blood sample from the family members.

The medical staff also sanitised their flat and quarantined the family for 14 days in their flat.

The medical team also quarantined the tower of the society for 14 days as a precautionary measure.

On Wednesday, Noida reported two fresh cases of COVID-19. The district administration and local authorities ramped up efforts to prevent the virus from spreading further, the Noida police invoked Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) to prohibit mass gatherings like social or political congregations, trade fairs and rallies etc till April 5.

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in India reached 151 on Wednesday.
