The 14th State Level Philatelic Exhibition, MAPPEX-2025, organized by the Madhya Pradesh Postal Circle, was held in Bhopal from November 21st to 23rd, 2025. With active support from local philatelic societies and associations, the event aimed to promote stamp collecting and offer a competitive platform for philatelists at the state level. The organizing committee, headed by the Chief Postmaster General of Madhya Pradesh Circle, designed the exhibition to cater to everyone—from seasoned collectors to beginners eager to explore the world of stamps.
The primary goal was to inspire innovation and creativity through a variety of activities. Workshops, seminars, letter-writing events, and competitions were key features, encouraging participants to engage deeply with philately. Panels of postal tickets were organized under themes such as India in Space, Environment, British Rule in India, and Headgears of India, among many others, showcasing diverse aspects of India’s history and culture through stamps.
The competition class for the year focused on “Bharatiya Vigyan Yatra” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat,” highlighting India’s scientific journey and self-reliance. A special ‘Pink Group’ category was introduced to boost women’s participation in the hobby, promoting inclusivity and diversity.

Competitive exhibits and presentations allowed collectors to display rare and diverse collections. Interactive events included seminars, workshops, letter-writing competitions, sit-and-draw contests, and letterbox painting activities. Cultural performances, such as sitar recitals and plays, connected people with the artistic side of philately.
Exclusive philatelic materials and special covers were released to mark the occasion, providing valuable learning experiences for children and youth. Dealers’ booths offered opportunities for collectors to acquire new items and enrich their collections.
Overall, the exhibition highlighted the rich history and artistry of stamp collecting, fostering a sense of community among enthusiasts. By combining knowledge sharing, creativity, and cultural engagement, the event promoted philately as an accessible and rewarding hobby, inspiring the next generation of collectors in Madhya Pradesh.
